Hey Limette's!
After saying their heartfelt goodbye's to the iconic Bryant Park Tents, the fabulously fashionable have jumped across the pond to kick off London Fashion Week. Here is what we loved about this past weekend in the UK.......
Do we love him for his body-conscious clothing? Yes. Do we love him for using full figured models on the runway? Obviously. Did we love his Fall 2010 Collection? Yes. Mark Fast's Fall Collection opened with an unexpected flowing poncho-dress and a flirty cranberry skirt & jacket but quickly evolved into his usual short, tight, cobwebby knit pieces. While it isn't entirely inventive and jaw dropping, Fast's collection is simple & chic and certainly makes us love our curves.
Topshop's Unique collection was just that. The show felt like a fashionable romp through the woods. The pieces were rustic & flirty; chunky knits, luxurious fur, heavy layering & bomber shearlings were mixed with mini skirts & sexy suiting. Pair the strong collection with the theatrical backdrop and it is a recipe for success.
"We never intended to set ourselves up against Christopher Bailey," Sienna Miller said when asked why her & her sister opted for a presentation rather than a show this year. In our opinion, we don't care who they are up against. The affordable, fashion-forward, wearable line is LLD approved. From the military mini dress to the sexy Prince-inspired purple velvet suit, this line is edgy and fun.
We can't say a bad thing. This designer continues to impress us. While we are more drawn to his bold, patterened brights we certainly are impressed by his ablity to design for all demographics. Balancing his collection with one shouldered patterened minis & classic ladylike dresses & suits, this proved to be another successful year for Williamson. We're just waiting on his H&M version of the fur!
The Juicer will be serving up the freshest style news from London Fashion Week!
